Educational Background

I hold a Ph.D. in Wind Energy from the Technical University of Denmark, where I conducted pioneering research that contributed to advancements in renewable energy technologies. Additionally, I earned an Integrated Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Porto in Portugal. To further enhance my leadership and project management skills, I completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management from Porto Business School. This strong academic foundation has equipped me with the technical prowess and managerial skills essential for tackling complex engineering challenges.

Professional Experience

Throughout my career, I have held pivotal roles that have shaped my expertise:

• Novo Nordisk: As an Engineering Director, I transformed the Mechanical Engineering Department by implementing a matrix organization structure. Leading over 60 engineers, I developed R&D processes that significantly improved efficiency and collaboration, contributing to the successful development of new medical devices. I also drove a digitalization project aimed at revolutionizing the design process, which increased development speed and enhanced iteration cycles.

• Vestas: At this leading wind energy company, I established a department team in a new engineering center in Porto, Portugal. I was instrumental in building the team, developing processes, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. Additionally, I led the creation of the Modelling and Infrastructure department, propelling Vestas' digital roadmap and enhancing simulation capabilities.

• INEGI: I led the Structural Simulation working group, supporting aerospace projects and elevating INEGI's reputation in structural simulation.
